For all you fellow Twilight fans, we stayed in Forks for our Olympic National Park stop.

It's a smaller town than even the movie portrays. They do have a few twilight themed stores and such. Did I think about going in and buying something? Maybe. Did I look around in hopes to find a Cullen or even Jake? so!!? haha

Dean is clueless about the movie so it was kind of funny answering all his questions about vampires and werewolves. ( why did I have an answer for everything?) 😆

Anyway, we stayed at Forks to visit Olympic National Park a few days. It was a little rainy and cloudy most of the time. Kind of what we expected of Washington State, but we were still able to get a beautiful sunset along La Push Beach and somehow the cloudiness made everything even more green and beautiful.

The first evening we went to the beach and met a few surfers who told us there were whales out in the distance!! It was a little hard to see without binoculars, but we had some. Sure enough, there were three out there! That was SO cool to see. We hung there and watched the sunset. It was breathtaking. The sun doesn't set until after 9:30pm this time of year in that area. We enjoyed just sitting there, watching whales, the sunset and chatting with some locals.

We also visited the Port Angeles area where we could see Canada across the way. Another day we went to the Hoh Rain Forest and did a hike in the Hall of the Moses. SO green! 💚

One of our favorite parts was taking a bike ride around Crescent Lake along the Spruce Trail. Crescent lake was amazing and SO blue! Enjoy those pictures below:

The last day at Olympic we wanted to see the Pacific Ocean one last time before we started to head east. We went to Rialto Beach. All the rocks and trees along the shore made it such a picturesque spot.

After Olympic we headed over to Mount Rainier. We stayed at a state park and our site was a little tight and very uneven, but we made it work. The weather was rainy and chilly most the time we were there. Mount Rainier was still closed in a lot of places because there was still so much snow and ice. We ended up hiking up toward Mount Rainier a bit through the snow and enjoyed some waterfalls. We found a great family owned, brewery that had homemade cider, beer, and food with live music. On the last day it was really rainy so we decided to just relax at "home" for the day. It was the first day that we didn't do anything and it was nice resting day. Next, we have a couple road days until we reach Glacier National Park!

For those that want to see Dean's lumberjack skills....😆
