After our weekend in Michigan for the 4th of July, it was time to head to Canada! We were only staying about an hour and a half from the border. We weren't sure how the process would be crossing the border with our camper, so we left a little early. We crossed through just north of Detroit at Port Huron/Sarina. When we arrived to the border, the line wasn't too long, and when we got to the customs lady, she just asked a couple questions and we were off.

Our first stop was in Milton, Ontario, just about an hour away from Niagara Falls. We got to our spot about 3pm, set up and then went into town to get some groceries. The next day, after I worked, we headed to Niagara Falls. We got there around 5:30pm, so some of the tours were closed but we got to walk right up to the falls, and walk the path along with great views. We then walked through the town and picked a spot for dinner. Wow, I was so surprised how many attractions there were in the area. The streets kind of looked like a mini Vegas. Lots of shops, amusement park type things, big ferris wheel, and haunted houses. After dinner, we walked around a bit more, had some ice cream and headed back to your campground.

The next day we drove to our overnight stop in eastern Ontario. The location was beautiful, our spot was right on the lake and we had a perfect view of the sunset.

We were off to Montreal the next morning. We originally were going to stay in Montreal for 2 nights, and then a couple nights in Quebec City. Since we are getting so close to Dean's hometown and we got used to doing some longer driving days, we decided to skip the 2nd night in Montreal and Quebec City all together. So, Friday night we went into Old Montreal to visit, walk around, ride the big ferris wheel, and get dinner. We had dinner at this great family owned, Italian restaurant. The food and drinks were awesome! After dinner we walked around, it was SO busy. Then, we headed back to get ready for our long drive tomorrow to Edmunston, New Brunswick! ( Dean's home town) Dean's brother's knew that we were coming early, but we planned to surprise his parents.

We will be here for the next 2 weeks. It is nice that Dean's entire family will be here. His parents, 4 brothers/sister in laws, and 9 nieces and nephews! It's the first time in 4 years all of us will be together. Our brother and sister in law, Bruce and Jess and their three girls ( Skylar, Madyson & Kendall) that live in Florida, are also coming to Canada this week. We are so excited to see them again too. We are staying at Dean's parents a few days, and then we have a campsite next to his youngest brother and his family for the duration of our trip. It is also very close to where the rest of the family lives. Should be a fun time. ☺️

Check out some of the videos we captured as we were getting "home." ☺️
