Lots to catch up on

Yikes. I waited a little too long to write an update and now I feel like there is too much to try and catch up on. I didn't really have a plan on how I would keep this blog updated once we got back from our (first) trip. I didn't expect people to miss it. I have been getting more and more people asking where the updates were and people saying they missed reading it. Thank you for that! 🥰
Sorry that these following posts for a while won't include pictures of national parks, but I will try and keep it interesting. 😉 I will break this up a bit and try to get up to date within the next few posts.
It's been 3 1/2 months since we rolled back into South Florida after our incredible adventure. It's crazy to think that it already seems like the trip was SO long ago. I am grateful for all the pictures and this blog because I already feel like we are forgetting.
So, let's rewind a bit...
As most of you who are following along know, Dean and I sold our home as we were planning on our trip. The house was beautiful, Dean remodeled it exactly how we wanted. But it was too big for just the two of us, and after all the craziness that we had gone through in that home- we were ready for a change. We decided to rent for a year before we left on our trip. Honestly, we weren't 100% sure what we were going to do after we got back. Our original idea was to buy something smaller and with more land to fix up after we got back. As we all know, the housing market kept getting crazy ( especially in Florida), and we weren't really sure where we wanted to end up after our journey. So, Dean's brother, Bruce and sister in law, Jess were nice enough to offer to have us stay with them for a bit when we got back mid August. ( We are very lucky to have them.🥰)
Dean and Bruce started working on building a small apartment above Bruce & Jess' garage for us to stay in. A spot for family to stay when visiting, or future apartment for our nieces too, perhaps. You wouldn't believe what it looked like before the work was started, and those Ringuette boys being who they are, got it done In record time! We were fully moved in by mid October.
Check out some photos and video below:
Since we have been back, we have really just been enjoying time with family. Having quality time with our nieces, dinners, bus stop pick ups, cheer fun, fishing, football watching and River Ranch trips.
We had a couple weekend getaways too. We drove over to Tampa for the weekend to watch the Chiefs play the Bucs. Watching them beat Brady live was pretty great. We stayed in the cutest airbnb in Safety Harbor, Fl . What a cool little town.
We went to Nashville for a weekend to celebrate our brother in law, Israel's 40th Birthday! Nashville was a blast and we got to see my sister. 🥰 We even randomly ran into old camping friends while we were there. We can't wait to go back!
We also have an exciting new addition to our little family and I will share with you all soon ALL about that! 😉
We have officially started planning our next adventure and plan to get on the road again in May 2023! Until then, we are working, enjoying family and friends and gearing up for the holidays fast approaching!
More updates to come.♡
