Last two stops

After visiting our friends in Greenville we stopped for a few nights in Charleston, South Carolina. We stayed at the James Island Park campground. It was a really nice park with lots to do and a great location. There were bike trails, rock climbing, and even a big waterpark. It was very close to downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. We spent an afternoon checking out Folly Beach. Went to the beach, enjoyed some live music and met a newly wed couple from Ohio and chatted with them for a bit. This was such a cute little beach town. The next night we went into downtown Charleston. We walked around the town, and then head a delicious seafood dinner at Harry's. The last night we went for a bike ride around the campground trails and went for dinner back in Folly Beach. We really fell in love this this area and already want to plan our trip back.
The last stop of our trip was to Jekyll Island, Georgia. On our way into the campground we hit a pretty strong thunderstorm and had to pull over until it passed over. The rain and wind made it too unsafe to try and pull the camper. Luckily, it passed through pretty quick and we were only about 20 minutes from the campground. It was a really neat campground on the island. It was covered with beautiful trees, so was very shaded. After we set up ( for the last time of this trip🥲) and the rain passed, we headed over to driftwood beach, which was right down the road. It was a pretty cool beach, but we were so surprised that the water all around the island area was really brown and looked dirty. Wasn't really water that was appealing to swim in, but aside from the ocean color, it was a very beautiful island. Lots to do very close, restaurants and bars, and beautiful scenery. The second afternoon we went for a bike ride all around the island, walked along the beach, and then went to dinner at a cute little cafe. That night, we enjoyed our last night at a bar on the water with a live band. The next morning it was time to head back to Florida. It is a weird feeling to be on our way home after 4 months on the road, but we are excited to get back and see everyone and plan our next adventure.
