Sorry it's been a bit since I posted. We have spent the past two weeks in Dean's home town of Edmundston, New Brunswick with his family and it's been busy!!

We arrived a couple days earlier than planned and surprised Dean's parents. (see previous post for videos). We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, so had the rest of the weekend to hang out with the family at Dean's parents house, went to his youngest brother's campsite to celebrate his 40th birthday and Sunday went to his brother, Kevin's for a pool day. It was fun to finally to be back in Canada and hanging with the family. 🥰

We stayed at Dean's parent's house the first few nights and Dean did some maintenance on the camper while I worked. We had a lot of the nieces and nephews hanging out during the week and brother, sister, family and friend visitors. We headed to our campsite right next to Dean's youngest brother Dale, and Melissa and our goddaughter Meaghan midweek. The rest of our Florida family arrived on Thursday and all the brothers and kids stayed at the campground for the long weekend to celebrate Dale's 40th birthday and Bruce’s 50th!!! 🥳 It was a fun filled weekend with lots laughs with family and friends.

The second week was another busy one. Dean worked on building a camp for his nephew, Justin with his brother's and Chris while I worked. Had more pool afternoons, went to see two of our nieces dance, had a couples dinner with all the brother and sister in laws, and Friday we went to Baker Lake at a family/friends house. It was a lot of fun where we boated, the kids tubed and we tried out Wake Surfing. I started waterskiing when I was about 3 years old, but haven't done any water sports in a LONG time. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it, but got up on the FIRST try!! 💪🏽 It was pretty awesome. It was a gorgeous day and makes me realize that I need to live on a lake even more. lol. Call me crazy, but I'll take a lake day over the ocean any day.

We spent our last weekend at our brother and sister in law, Scott and Melissa's house. I made everyone my "famous" Baked ziti, and all the kids had a sleepover. Then, Sunday I took some family photos for everyone and we celebrated Skylar's birthday. Dean's dad even had snow saved from winter to make homemade maple taffy in the snow. Then, the kids had fun having a summer snowball fight! Only in Canada. 😆

Monday it was already time to say goodbye. The two weeks sure did go by fast. It's always tough to say goodbye to family. Especially when it's been so long since you have seen them, and had such a great time. We are heading back into the states and officially heading Southbound. I guess that means we really are heading home and our trip is getting closer to the end.

We have a few more stops and friends to visit along the way, but just 3 weeks to go!!
