I think this was our favorite stop so far. ( I keep saying that, don't I? lol)

But seriously...Oregon is just, beautiful.

For this stop we stayed in Grants Pass, Oregon for a week. The RV Park we stayed at was right on the Rogue River. It was a beautiful park and everywhere in Oregon was SO green. We picked Grants Pass because it was kind of in the middle for traveling to Crater Lake & back down a bit to Redwood National Park. That way, we could stay in one place a little longer and just take the truck to explore. It really worked out great. We were here for 6 nights.

The first day we just got settled in our new spot. We were able to get a site RIGHT on the river. This is where we did our MTV Cribs Tour 😆 ( check it out on last post)

On the first day. we went to a couple of falls not too far from Grants Pass, Wilson & Toketee and also to a Hot Springs. Very cool!

Our next day we went to visit Crater Lake. We were so surprised to see so much snow still. After researching, we learned that Crater Lake area is one of the snowiest areas in the US and the lake is made up entirely of snow melt. ( WHO knew!?) A lot of the park was still closed from snow and ice, but we were able to walk around and get beautiful sites of the lake and really enjoyed all the snow.

Friday we decided to stay a night at a hotel along the Pacific coast close to the Redwoods. We got a hotel in Crescent City, CA. It's a pretty small town and not much options for "nice" hotels but it was nice to be on the ocean and close to where we wanted to visit for the night. On our way in, we stopped for lunch in Brookings, OR at a restaurant on the water and drove along the coast to Crescent City.

Then, we went into Redwood NP to hike the Sprout Grove Trail and River Trail. This is where you can see all the redwood trees and on the way in we saw a bunch of Roosevelt Elks along the road. It was so cool being in the middle of all those huge redwoods. After that, we went to the coast and did a hike along the coastal trail that took us onto Endert Beach. It takes you on this beautiful trail down into the beach along a cliff and you are surrounded by trees and wildflowers until it opens up onto the ocean. It was amazing.

After our hikes in the park, we went to Seaquake Brewery. This place was great. Great food, atmosphere, and the had their own ciders, beers and full liquor. If you are ever in this area, highly recommend going there.

Saturday morning we got up and went to breakfast. It was a rainy, chilly morning, but we drove around the area along the coast. Saw lots of seals and sea lions! Then, we came across Northcoast Marine Mammal Center where they rehabilitate seals and sea lions. We got to see some baby harbor seals and learned more about them. I wanted to take one home with me, but Dean wouldn't let me. dang it. We checked out the lighthouse and then headed back up to Grants Pass.

The next day, it was time to pack up and head further north. Next stop, Silverton, Oregon!
