The day has come after planning this journey for over six months! We officially hit the road very excited BUT somewhat nervous leaving it all behind for 4 months. It was a busy weekend before leaving South Florida. We had a going away get-together with friends and family Friday, Then, we had our nieces cheer competition Saturday. ( So proud of my little Wellington Allstars🥰).
We got up Sunday to start packing up and were on the road by 10:45am.
Our camper neighbor took our picture as we pulled out for our journey! (Thanks Richard!)
Our first stop is at Canopy Oaks in Lake Wales, Florida. Luckily, we have been to this campsite before and it’s only about a 2 1/2 hour drive pulling. It was an easy drive and we arrived at Canopy Oaks by 1:15pm. We were all set up and relaxing in less than 30 minutes. I guess that’s one of the perks of already having everything put away in the camper.
We ran into town to get some groceries, made dinner and set up our projector and fire pit for a movie night.
Today we got up early and I got to work, and Dean did some work around the camper.
My hot spot has been working perfectly so remote work from campsites have been going seamlessly so far.
We took a lunch break bike ride to visit the goats and donkey. 😍
After work, we went for a nature hike at a trail not too far from the campsite. It was some pretty views, so I snapped some photos. 📸
So far , so good!
We head up to Icheetucknee Springs on Wednesday.

Dean and Lauren...sorry I wasn't able to make the bon-voyage party, but have been thinking about you both knowing that it's the start of such an exciting time for you; and I am so glad things are going well! Safe travels during the miles ahead, and enjoy the journey!! ~ John R.
