Our 2nd stop of our big adventure was in Fort White, Florida. Right by Icheetuckee Springs north of Gainesville. We stayed at Moonshine Acres RV park.

We were so excited to have our good friends Juan, Sandy and Stella join us on this part of the trip. Living in Florida for over 20 years, we both have never been to this area of Florida and I always wanted to visit the springs.

We arrived Wednesday afternoon around 1pm and started getting set up. We had a Buddy Site, so our campers faced each other and we had a large common area with a beautiful, big tree for shade, picnic tables, and fire pits. What a great option if you are camping with friends.

Thursday I worked while the others hung out around the campground. By the way, the wifi at Moonshine Acres is great! I actually didn't need to use my hot spot on this stop.

Thursday afternoon we headed to Devils Den's. We have seen pictures of this place, and realized that we weren't too far. You walk down into a cave where there is a spring. It was COLD but didn't take long to get numb and used to it. We snorkeled and took some pictures. You can scuba dive and they also have picnic tables and a pretty park area, a pool and nature trails. We explored a bit after the Spring and then headed back to camp for dinner.

Friday we headed to Ichetucknee Springs State Park for tubing on the river, which was only about 2 miles from our campsite. This park is beautiful!! We picked up our tubes and then they shuttle you up the river to drop you off. The water was a chilly 72 degrees but it was a perfect, warm day. The scenery was stunning and the trees kept a lot of the river shaded right when you needed it. We saw manatees, a gator and a LOT of turtles. It was so peaceful and quiet. There were times when it was only us in our area of the river. I think we got lucky to go on a Friday when it was not too busy, as we heard it can get packed.

If you are ever in this area, I highly recommend the tubing. We all really loved it. The river was running a little slower than usually so it took about 2 hours, but I guess normally it only takes about 1 hour for the long stretch and you can have the shuttle take you back to go again.

Friday night was hibachi night! Dean and I wanted to try out our new Blackstone and attempted a hibachi dinner for all of us with steak, chicken, shrimp, veggies and fried rice. It turned out pretty darn good for our first time.

Saturday we celebrated Easter a day early since we were all going to be back on the road Sunday. The campground did an egg hunt for the kids and Stella really enjoyed that. While she was finding the eggs by the front office, Uncle Dean hid eggs around our campsite. It was so fun seeing Stella's reactions and how excited she was. We then dyed some easter eggs, of course.

Dean and I then headed to another spring called Blue Hole. It had a really pretty nature trail on the way to it. Video below.

Saturday night Juan and Sandy made pork butt tacos and rice and beans. YUM! After dinner we had a movie night outside and watched Encanto. ( I finally know what the heck the "We don't talk about Bruno no no " videos all over social media are! lol).

Sunday is back on the road! The truck will now be starting to point west for a while now! We will be staying in Chatahoochee, Florida just for the night. It is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive so we will spend the afternoon and night. Then, on to the next stop! We have a few one nighters until we will spend the long weekend by Lake Travis in Austin, Texas.

More updates soon! ♡
